Good evening all,
I'm thinking about getting a Sirius XM subscription, and was wondering what you all use as far as the radios go?
Thanks,
Chris
Hello,
I use the basic car radio, the Stratus 6 I think it is called. The radio itself is not accessible
of course, but I am able to operate it fairly well independently using the keypad for direct
channel number entry, the up or down channel buttons, or presets. I have a pretty good
mental map of where the channels are on their spectrum, and really they are grouped
fairly well by channel number according to their genre, so I find I have little trouble
finding the channel I am looking for. The Stratus 6 I operate in the car as the spouse
drives, and also at home we have the Sirius Premium boombox with a second Status 6
sitting on that dock.
I have also used the iPad app in the past, about 2 years ago, but have not bothered to
pay for an online subscription since so I am not aware of accessibility, but back then I
remember it worked okay in terms of finding channel names, what was playing, and
starting/stopping playback or setting favorites. Maybe someone using the app now could
discuss accessibility. I know it wasn't perfect then but it was usable.
are you lookin for what actual physicl radio people use or an app or what?
